Lytcode was founded on the concept that technology makes up part of the fabric of an enterprise. Enterprises grow, pivot, and adjust to market conditions best when their fabric is light, flexible, and durable.
Uncommon Open-source Expertise
Software That Optimizes Business Models
Most organizations are complex, living, ever-changing systems. The last thing a complex system needs is more noisy complexity. Lytcode believes great technology works behind the scenes, quietly yet powerfully, allowing an organization to focus on what it does best: serving its customers, team members, and vendors.
Like the vast number of organizations using open source software can testify, we don’t believe in re-inventing the wheel. Open source technology offers thousands of pre-packaged features that supply organizations with digital components that can uniquely combine to fit the DNA of an organization.
We build and support digital systems that are centered on usability, simplicity, and cost-consciousness. Putting users and business process as the highest priority to design architecture around. Users shouldn’t have to think about how to interact with software; their experience with it should feel natural and intuitive. Our user experience design isn’t constrained by bias but tested by experimentation and reduction. We work to simplify interaction to the bare essence of the behaviors required to accomplish defined goals. Nothing should stand in the way of users getting things done.
Furthermore, organizations with open source software underpinning their business models are at risk if their software is not monitored for security patches and feature updates. Taking care of software is congruous with taking care of the business model as a whole.

Paul Chason, Founder
A veteran of the web industry, Paul has worn just about every hat that exists in a tech company. From web design, programmer, project manager, business development, HR, and owner. Following several years at companies like WebMD and The Home Depot, Inc., Paul launched Mediacurrent, a Drupal-focused web agency in 2004. After Mediacurrent's successful acquisition in 2015, Paul helped more than double Mediacurrent's revenue before embarking on another journey. Watching the explosive growth of open source technology, he continued to see organizations struggle to vet, procure, and manage open source tech effectively and securely. Lytcode was launched to help.
On weekends and whenever he gets free time, Paul is usually behind a drum kit or guitar, playing whenever he gets a chance. He loves anything outdoors (fishing, golf, hiking) and traveling with his wife and family.
